Visit the Ahuehuete. A cypress like tree hundred of years old, with water flowing out of its roots, which by popular tradition has been endowed with miraculous properties. This place has been a witness of beliefs and rituals for purification and crowing of those who visit “Chalma” for the first time (chalma is another ceremonial town nearly). This site has become a rustic stop over for tourists, with palm tents (palapas) fitted out for the sale of crafts and food. |

Visit “ Los diablitos ” (little devils) . This is ancient outdoors painting on a rock . Its located southwest of the county in the glen formed by the tepolica river and the Tepolca hill. These paintings are anthropomorphous (human like) and are partially conserved. They represent a “Cosmic dance” and are believed to have been painted by a tribe of hunter collector nomads. The name “Diablitos” (little devils) comes from the red colored paintings because it is said that the paint is made of a mixture of blood and zinc oxide. |

Temazcal
After the initial ceremony, the conch shell is sounded, signaling the
beginning of the temascal bath. The door is closed, sealing
of
the light and sealing in the heat. Herbs are thrown on the
stones
to create a curative vapor, heating the temascal to even higher
temperatures
